Hiking Tour

This tour includes the Must hiking trails of Armenia with 3-5 hours per day from the south to the north of Armenia including the ascend to the southern peak of Mt. Aragats 3900 MSL.

Armenia a land of rugged mountains and extinct volcanoes, its highest point is Mount Aragats, 13,435 ft (4,095 m). The terrain is mostly mountainous, with fast flowing rivers and few forests which are mostly concentrated in the northern regions of Armenia. Covering an area of 29,743 square kilometers (11,484 sq mi) Armenia has unexpectedly various landscapes changing at every 30 kilometers which make the country very interesting and charming for the hiking lovers.

This tour includes the must hiking trails of Armenia with daily 3-5 hours hiking from the south to the north of Armenia including the ascend to the southern peak of Mt. Aragats 3900 MSL. We have included in the program also nice breaks at local houses for short interaction with people as well as beautiful medieval monastery visits which are must-see masterpieces in any kind of tour to Armenia.

  • Day 2: ARRIVAL + CLASSICAL TOUR /City tour – Echmiadzin – Yerevan

    Arrval to Zvartnots INTL airport.


    Start a walking city tour in Yerevan. It’s the capital of Armenia and of the the oldest cities of the world which dates back to 872 B.C. Yerevan celebrated its 2800 anniversary in 2018.

    Visit History Museum and Tsitsernakaberd memorial dedicated to Armenians Genocide in 1915. Continue to Echmiadzin – the religious center of Armenia. Visit Echmiadzin cathedral of 4th cen. UNESCO.

    Return back to Yerevan.

    Welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant. Overnight.

  • Day 3: CLASSICAL TOUR / Yerevan – Khor Virap – Noravank – Karahunge – Goris


    Drive to Khor Virap monastery through villages and vineyards which offers the closets and most breathtaking view to Biblical Mt Ararat.Drive to Areni village and start hiking through a small mountain range to Amaghu gorge.

    Drive to Noravank monastery – a great religious and cultural centre of 12th c. (1467m) surrounded among the stunning nature.

    Continue to Goris town visiting ancient astronomical observatory of Karahunge.

    Dinner and overnight in Goris.

  • Day 4: HIKING / Goris – Khndzoresk caves and pending bridge – Tatev monastery 9-14 cen. /  Tatever cable car -Tatevi Anapat moanstery 17th cen. – Yeghegis village

  • Day 5: HIKING / Yeghegis village – Smbataberd fortress ruins 5th-10th cen. and Tsakhats Kar monastery 10th – 11th cen. – Noraduz village cemetry cross stones – Lake Sevan and peninsula – Dilijan town

  • Day 6: HIKING/ Dilijan town  – Parz lake – Goshavank monastery 13th cen. – Yenokavan village  LEISURE at a resort

  • Day 7: CLASSICAL / Yenokavan – Akhtala – Haghpat – Byurakan

    Breakfast. Check out.

    Drive to Akhtala moanstery of 10th cen. The main church at the compound is famous for its highly artistic frescoes, which cover the inside walls, the partitions, and the bearings of the building.

    Continue to Haghpat monastery of 10th – 14th cen. which was important centre of learning in Middle Ages. It represents the highest flowering of Armenian religious architecture.

    Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of deep gorges en route and continue to Aragatsotn province where Armenia highets mountain is rising – Mt. Aragats 4090 MSL.

    Overnight in Byurakan village.


  • Day 8: TREKKING  / Byurakan – Mt. Aragats Southern Peak – Yerevan

  • Day 9: HIKING / Yerevan – Goght village –  Garni pagan temple 1st cen. dedicated to the God of Sun – Gegհard cave monastery 11-13th cen. UNESCO – Farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant with life music in Yerevan
