Description
Armenia is a landlocked country in the Transcaucasia region, between the Black and Caspian Seas, bordered on the north and east by Georgia and Azerbaijan and on the south and west by Iran and Turkey. The terrain is mostly mountainous and flat, with fast flowing rivers and few forests but with many trees. The land rises to 4,090 m above sea-level at Mount Aragats and we have included a nice trek to this mountain in this tour. This tour includes also two other highest peaks of Armenia, one Geghama Mountains located in the heart of the country and the other one Khustup Mountain in South of Armenia. Overnights at camps are followed by nice stays at the small hotels for more comfortability. The treks are 5-8 hours per day with min. 12 km per day trekking.
